Finally at the rear of the volume there are four further pages of tipped in illustrations, being the "dedications to the first and second volumes" and the "tailpieces from the first and second volumes". Each plate accompanied by guardsheet with descriptive letterpress.
The cover is rubbed, worn and a little discoloured. Internally there is some mild foxing in places but the illustrations are all bright and clean. The pages are slightly wrinkled in places.
Size approx 30cm x 24cm (12" x 9.5"). The volume comes with a loose offprint from The Royal Society detailing the life of Thomas Alan Stephenson. Some of the other 15 copies are held in.
