Along with this being the 1949 first edition, it is also one of 750 first printed advanced copies that was sent out to American Booksellers. This special first edition was made with the authors signature in red color on the front upper right corner on the hardcover. Book appears just as shown in all photos. All pages are present and there is no writing inside the book. Binding on the book is becoming a little loose as shown in the 2nd to last photo. Would believe this to be an easy fix. We acquired this book from the former estate of a lifelong book collector who once owned a former book store in Ohio. Book has been inside their climate controlled home on a shelf for the past 30 plus years. Please message with any questions.
