Jaydee models is proud to present the torso sculpture of medusa. Over the years I've sculpted medusa many times, each one is different from the last and for this version I wanted to approach medusa as a woman who wears a helmet of snakes rather than having a head full of real snakes. She still has the power to turn any person to stone, the helmet is there to draw attention to her face and deadly eyes.

The body was sculpted from life class and drawings made at the time, for the design of medusa I wanted everything to be curved and moving, almost snake like in her movement, drawing ones gaze up her body to her head and eyes! The snakes on the helmet have a horn like appearance to them and give medusa a real presence, contrasting with her smooth body and rough rock base.

Medusa features a startling snake tattoo design running down the length of her back, twisting and curving through the shape of her back. Her skin has a realistic quality featuring small moles, freckles and imperfections that really enhance the tattoo design adding that something special to the sculpture.

This figure is limited to 150, signed and numbered on the base. Each sculpture is cast in a very high quality polyurethane resin reproducing all the details perfectly.
