One of his best known paintings is "The Portentous City, " a vertical view of Manhattan skyscrapers. In 1935, Diego had a solo exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago. In 1946 he held a Modern Handmade Jewelry exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art.
