Michael Symmons Roberts Takk double signed numbered 1st 8/75 poetry fine press
An excellently produced double-signed numbered limited edition of a poem from multi-award winning English poet Michael Symmons Roberts. 4-times shortlisted for the prestigious T. Eliot Prize, he has won the Whitbread Prize (2004) and the Costa Book Award (2013). The inspiration for both the poem and the illustrations is the famous painting'The Procession to Calvary' by Dutch Renaissance artist Pieter Bruegel the Elder d. 1569, which was painted in 1564. Takk' published by Andrew Moorhouse of Fine Press Poetry in Rochdale in 2020, 1st edition, book measures 10in x 10.75in, unpaginated format but [ii blanks] + 35 pages + [iii blanks]. Features 13 colour images by Jake Attree. Flat hand signed by both Michael Symmons Roberts and Jake Attree, also hand numbered as (a low-numbered example) being copy number 8 to the limitation page at the rear of the book, from the limited edition numbered run of only 75 copies worldwide. Smaller run editions as Lettered and Deluxe Leather Presentation examples are also available. In very fine unread condition, no dustjacket as issued.
Quarter-leather and green cloth binding, title label to the front board. Designed and printed by John Grice of the Evergreen Press, printed from Centaur 16 point type on Zerkall paper and bound at the Fine Book Bindery.
