The Star-Treader and Other Poems: by a giant in the early fantasy genre. This is Clark Ashton Smith's very first (self-funded) published book, first edition, 1912.

2,000 copies were produced, approx. 1,000 of them destroyed in a fire and of the remainder many have been lost or are in poor condition. The binding and pages of this copy are quite good and devoid of markings except inside front cover with a signed inscription to his friend Samuel Loveman, who also introduced Smith to Lovecraft. The original dust jacket was low quality and roughly cut at the side edges. A valuable, very limited first book by a classic author.

Twenty eight poems beginning with "Nero", ending with "Atlantis" and of course including "The Star-Treader". A few handwritten corrections to the text are Smith's own handwriting.
